When my husband and I decided to build a new house, we looked to the experts to guide us in all of our selections and buying decisions. We knew that we wanted our new home to be refined, elegant and state-of-the art.

Our builder suggested that we visit the showroom of Küche+Cucina on route 17 south in Paramus. We always thought of Küche+Cucina as a "top-of-the-line" kitchen center, but to our delight we found it now to be a complete design center for many areas of the home.

We met with President A.J. Ilin, who gave us a guided tour of the 10,000 square foot showroom. Our eyes feasted on over 30 complete rooms. Featured in these rooms were not only kitchens, bathrooms and bars; but there also were libraries, wall units, media/family room and home offices. In addition, there were bedrooms, closets (one walk-in), and numerous pieces of free-standing furniture.

Mr. Ilin explained that their kitches and cabinetry were either semi-custom or custom made in order to satisfy different lifestyles as well as for the discriminating buyer. He showed us their top-of-the-line cabinetry by SieMatic, and the Poliform closets and bedrooms from Italy. We learned about the quality and workmanship that goes into everything that Küche+Cucina carries. We discovered that they even have their own woodworking shop for their handcrafted cabinetry.

We got a crash course on the latest in sinks, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, dishwashers and other kitchen appliances. I marveled at the LaCornue stoves and ovens. But wait, there's more, said Mr. Ilin.

In addition, Küche+Cucina has recently opened a complete stone and tile department featuring the utmost in marble, tumbled marble, tile, granite and limestone. Everything can be coordinated for the kitchen and bath, even floors, right within the same store.

When we thought we saw it all, Ilin then escorted us into the hardware department. There, within Küche-Cucina was the most complete hardware line in northern New Jersey! There was hardware not just for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, but for outside and inside doors, windows and furniture for the entire house. They have the ability to do custom casting, as well. Besides meeting residential needs, K+C is also able to suit all commercial and architectural needs.

Needless to say, both my husband and I were most impressed. But we had one major question, is the Küche+Cucina staff knowledgeable in all of these areas? We learned there are NKBA certified kitchen designers on staff, attending continuing education classes and seminars regularly. We met the manager of their stone and tile department who has 16 years of experience and knowledge in the field. And, in addition, their hardware specialist is AHC certified. we were satisfied that K+C provided sound expertise in every department.

We made an appointment to come back and meet with one of the designers to do some serious plannign for our new house. We met with Don, who proceeded to "interview" us on our lifestyle, our kitchen habits, our bath and closet needs and our preferences to style, materials and colors. We discussed our budget and our requirement of working closely with our builder. Don "tuned" into us immediately and showed us a fabulous variety from which to choose our kitchen, baths and closets. My husband and I also decided to do his office/library and chose a wall unit for the media room.

When it came time to choose the floors, countertops and backsplashes we worked closely with Susan, the stone and tiel specialist, to coordinate these items with all the cabinetry. We never had to leave the store with samples in order to try to match-up cabinets with other materials. Everything we wanted was available to us right there within K+C. Even selecting the hardware was a pleasure.

My husband and I found the entire experience very pleasant. We loved the concept of one-stop shopping within the high-quality structure that we desired and damanded. Küche+Cucina offered us many products at a good value. The entire staff worked together and coordinated our project from start to finish. Our builder, too, was so impressed with the talent, knowledge and vast capabilities at Küche+Cucina that he exclusively recommends them to his clients and architects.

The outcome? We love our new house and we are thrilled with our dream kitchen, baths, office/library, meda room wall unit and closets. Our home fulfills Küche+Cucina's philosophy: "Our store is merely a design resource center-the real showroom is in every customer's home."
