Kosher Style
This kitchen is a perfect example of form following function, kosher style. When this family decided to remodel, they created an extensive wish list. In their search for the perfect firm, the homeowners stopped at Küche+Cucina in Paramus, New Jersey.
Also challenging were the family's many requirements, among them the desire for an attractive, comfortable space for casual dining and family gatherings with a contemporary flair. The kitchen also needed to be conducive to daily meal preparation and had to be kid-friendly. Finally, the space needed to be kosher—three sinks, two dishwashers, two ovens.
Küche+Cucina constructed a large center island to provide ample space for meal preparation; the lower tier is a perfect spot for the kids to do their school work. CaesarStone counters provide a beautiful nonporous, maintenance-free surface, ideal for a kosher kitchen. Three sinks allow for two simultaneous cooks. The pantries were lowered to create a "furniture" appearance while tying the kitchen to the dining room. When the design team finished their preparations, the homeowners' builder stepped in and prepared the space for the new kitchen. After the cabinets arrived from Italy, Küche+Cucina's installers fitted them. The countertops and sinks followed, and the new kitchen was ready for its first meal.
