Küche+Cucina wins the the national magazine Signature Kitchen & Bath Design Award for the 5th time!!!

After winning this 1st. Place award in 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2008, Küche+Cucina wins it again, second year in a row. Designer Greg Azoulay, designed this Pedini kitchen, in Saddle River, NJ.

March 2009 - Pedini is turning Greener!

Pedini, one of our premier lines of cabinetry, who has been an environmentally friendly company for years, is now turning a deeper and a stronger shade of green.

For years, Pedini has been producing their box construction as a completely green product. It is formaldehyde free, made of 100% recycled wood and all the wood veneer used comes exclusively from sustainable sources.

Now the people at Pedini have gone one step further and upgraded their box construction.

The Marine Grade (water-proof) Ecological Panel that Pedini is now using, is made from 100% post-consumption wooden material, is Forest Stewardship Council certified (FSC) and has the absolute lowest formaldehyde emissions in the world.

This Marine Grade Ecological Panel represents a revolutionary material that provides a perfect synthesis between safeguarding the environment and concern for the health of the consumer.

Additionally, another important factor in Pedini’s on-going efforts to protect the environment is the fact that they are truly an eco-friendly brand.  Unlike other companies that create one or two “politically-correct” green products, in a factory that also manufactures non-green items, Pedini exclusively produces green products and adheres entirely to environmentally friendly practices in their production facilities.

September 2008 - Küche+Cucina's 2008 “Best of Show” Design Award is on the Cover of the national magazine - Signature Kitchen & Bath Magazine!

These clients purchased a beautiful horse farm, in Tewksbury, NJ and hired architects Tony Kowidge and Joel Ives, from IS&L to handle the whole house redo. For the complete kitchen redesign/remodeling, the architects knew where to go: Amir Ilin from Küche+Cucina.

There were several challenges in redesigning the kitchen and the adjacent areas – the kitchen had a diving wall between the main kitchen area and the pantry/clean up section. Ilin started the transformation by taking down the dividing wall and opening the kitchen work area - it allowed a much better flow, entering the kitchen, as well as created a bigger ‘cooking area’ where the cook has all the appliances in one area and a prep island in front of it.  The room had a charming sky light but it was located too far from the room’s center and off to the side. Using all Pedini products, Ilin designed 2 very unique islands – one for the cooking area, with a large, raised, very practical stainless steel surface, for food preparation and a lower section, in high gloss lacquer, over ebony wood, to ‘warm up’ the stainless. The second island was designed for entertaining, with 5 bar stools and a glass counter area. It also had high gloss lacquer, over ebony wood NJ Kitchen cabinets, to give this side of the kitchen more of a ‘furniture look’, as it is facing the living area. These two islands utilized the large room better and now the sky light location was perfect.   

There was not enough wall space to accommodate all the appliances the homeowner wanted and the kitchen was part of a large dinning/living space that need to be all coordinated together. Ilin ‘inserted’ the 3 ovens and the coffee maker in the outside wall of the walk-in pantry – it saved kitchen space and eliminated the need for large cabinetry to house them all. He then compensated for the lack of wall space by adding a couple of storage pantries and a custom 6 door storage cabinet, using the same finishes as the kitchen. He then positioned them between the kitchen and the living area – those could be used for all 3 living spaces. It also helped ‘connecting’ the kitchen with the dining/living areas.

August 2008 - Küche+Cucina is the winner of the 2008 “Best of Show” Design Award from Signature Kitchen & Bath Magazine!

This will be the fourth time that Küche+Cucina win this prestigious national design award - they won it in 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2008, plus a 2nd place in 2003 (hey, nobody's perfect...).

Look for the design award issue, soon in stores and newsstands around the country, with Küche+Cucina's winning project on the cover. This will also be the 7th time that Küche+Cucina is on the cover of Signature Kitchen & Bath Magazine!

March 2008 - The New Showroom - Küche+Cucina/Pedini of Madison is Now Open!

Küche+Cucina's new showroom - Küche+Cucina/Pedini of Madison is now open! It is located at 268 Main Street, in Madison, NJ - across the street from the new home of Madison Jaguar. The showroom featuring almost 5,000 square feet of brand new displays - contemporary Pedini kitchens and Pedini vanities, as well as Küche+Cucina's own Handcrafted, Custom and Semi-Custom traditional cabinet lines.

Küche+Cucina have been designing and installing kitchens in the area (and much further) for many years. The decision to have a full kitchen showroom, in the corners of Morris County, Somerset County, Essex County and Union County came about due to Küche+Cucina's tremendous increase in work in the area, in the past several years.

The new Madison showroom, is located on Main Street (old Rt. 24), a little more then a mile down the street from the Short Hills Mall. Now, residents of Madison, Morristown, Livingston, Florham Park, Chatham, Milburn, Short Hills, Summit, Mendham, Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, Far Hills and the Oranges, have a Küche+Cucina showroom in their back yard!

January 2008 - Küche+Cucina is on the cover of TWO national magazine covers!!!

If you are buying a kitchen magazine this month, chances are that Kuche+Cucina is gracing the cover - both Beautiful Kitchens Magazine, as well as Signature Kitchen & Bath Magazine are featuring kitchens designed by Kuche+Cucina on the cover.

In addition to being on the cover, Beautiful Kitchens Magazine is featuring an 8 page article (!) about this traditional, English style kitchen.

December 2007 - A Küche+Cucina Kitchen Wins Architectural Digest Design Contest

Arch Digest held their first-ever Open Auditions for residential design. More than 400 pros and non-pros, from as far away as Mexico, the Philippines, Australia and Venezuela, lined up at New York’s D & D building to show their portfolios to a panel of AD judges headed by longtime editor-in-chief Paige Rense.

The homeowner/designer of this kitchen, Mrs. Batya Kalderon-Hadani, from Cresskill, New Jersey, entered her kitchen into this contest and the design won!

July 2007 - Küche+Cucina announces the opening of their second showroom in Madison, NJ. 

The new showroom will be located at 268 Main Street, in Madison NJ, across from the new Madison jaguar. The new building, built by Küche+Cucina, will house the brand new 5,000, scheduled to open in early 2008.

April 2007 - Küche+Cucina was chosen to supply all the kitchen cabinetry and the closets to The Plaza Hotel, in NYC.

One of the most famous hotels in the world (if not The most famous), The Plaza Hotel, in NYC, is undergoing a complete renovation. The new owners, the Elad Group, had chosen Küche+Cucina to create all the kitchens and closets for the hotel. In the ‘Plaza tradition’, the cabinetry is hand-painted with gold leaf accents and the closets are done in Mahogany wood with a ‘diamond shaped’ design. The hotel is scheduled to reopen to the public in early 2008.
